Austenitic Series (300 Series)

The 300 series stainless steel, primarily alloyed with chromium and nickel, is the most widely used series due to its excellent formability, weldability, and corrosion resistance. A representative grade is 304, while grades such as 316L, 321, and 304J1, which include additional elements like Mo, Ti, and Cu, are tailored for specific applications. This series is commonly used in kitchen equipment, construction materials, and chemical processing equipment.

Ferritic Series (400 Series)

STS430 / 409L
The 400 series stainless steel uses chromium as its main alloying element and is characterized by its low thermal expansion coefficient and superior corrosion resistance. Representative grades include 430, with specialized grades such as 409L, 430J1L, and 444 containing additional elements like Ti, Nb, and Mo to meet specific requirements.
